At the age of sixteen, Bill found himself facing one of the greatest crossroads of his life. It
was the summer before his senior year of high school that Bill realized that his life was being set for him, and he wanted nothing to do with where it was going. Facing a hopeless future, Bill began to cry out from his heart for something more.
It was at this time that he began reading a small New Testament given to him the year before. Not even sure that God existed, Bill realized that if anyone knew if he had any hope, or purpose in life, it would be God.
As he read that little New Testament, Bill began to realize that not only did God exist, but he could sense that God had something for him. So, on September 7, 1972, at the age of 16, Bill literally bowed his knee and accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior. Not knowing what to expect, Bill was met with a deep and gentle peace that seemed to come down upon him like a cloud.
Bill discovered that God, not only existed, but also cared very deeply about people. He came to
know that God is good, and only wants good for all of us. And, as time went on, Bill found that God had a plan for his life, and this set him on fire to know God and serve Him.
Filled with an incredible passion to know God’s reality and love, Bill started his new life sharing Jesus with family and friends. Some accepted, and some didn’t. This only fueled the fire in Bill’s heart to find those of like passion - those who’s hunger for God’s reality was akin to his.
The hunger to know God, and the passion to declare Him, finally led Bill into the ministry. Since then, Bill makes it his goal to bring God to the people. He makes every effort to show people just how real God is, how awesome God is, and how worthy God is to be loved and served.
Over the years, God has had Bill focus on several themes from the Bible. These themes have dealt with realities like "purpose, righteousness, obedience, and faith." They not only permeate Bill’s preaching and teaching, but his personality and character. Bill believes that these realities are given to answer the only question the real Christian should have, which is, "How am I serving God?"
